Common questions

When will I get my 2027 kit?
Counties post new values each spring, usually mid-April 2027. The day your county does, we build your kit from the new numbers and email it to you automatically. You'll have weeks before the May 17, 2027 deadline.
When is the protest deadline?
The 2027 deadline is May 17, 2027, or 30 days after your appraisal notice is delivered, whichever is later.
Can I get a refund?
Full refund any time before your report is delivered, or if we can't build a report for your property. Just email support@hometaxreview.com.
Do you file the protest for me?
No. You file it yourself in a few minutes on your appraisal district’s website. The kit includes step-by-step filing instructions for your county, a pre-written protest email and a hearing script.
Does it cost anything to protest?
Your protest asks the appraisal review board to set your value at what your evidence supports, which is why the kit gives you comparable-home evidence for the value you request. Filing is free, and you can withdraw a protest before your hearing if you change your mind.
